Rainy Day at Vargo’s

We had some bad luck when we were planning to photograph a beautiful outdoor wedding at Vargo’s when the rains came and forced Rena & Mike to move their wedding indoors. The grounds were in perfect condition and the flowers were as pretty as we have seen there. At least they have large picture windows giving us a nice backdrop. Rena and Mike started their day at the Hilton Westchase. They remained calm and collected and never let the weather dampen their spirits. Becca & I want to say thanks for allowing us to be with you on your wedding day.

Rena had a very cool dress and something we had not seen before. The dress by itself was simple and elegant but it came with a train that was part of a jacket that Rena wore.

The jacket/train really made this dress stand out.

Close to Our Hearts

Erin is the daughter of my best friend, Jo, and I has watched Erin grow into the gorgeous woman that she has. We did Erin’s bridal pictures at Mercer Arboretum in Houston, Texas. I will be honest, when I first saw how incredible gorgeous Erin was, I was thinking, “How am I EVER going to get through this session without crying?” I made it, and that was a miracle! Erin has that fun spirited, loving personality that defiantly shows and makes our job SO much fun! We had a BLAST!!! Jo, her Mom, came with us and we even managed to get her is a few shots that she was not aware of….sorry buddy…….I HAVE to show everyone what a trooper you wereWe are a little behind posting these, so in a few days we will be posting photos from Erin and Ian’s AMAZING destination wedding in Destin, Florida aboard the Solaris with SunQuest Cruises.

Marriage of Our Daughter

We are SO proud to announce the marriage of our daughter, Ashton Leigh Caffrey to Robert Martin Lewis, Jr. They were married on Saturday, August 1, 2009 in a beautiful ceremony at First Baptist Church in Brookshire with reception following at Tuscany Villa in Katy Texas. Cristina, with Fresh Blooms of Houston did an AMAZING job on the flowers, they were SO BEAUTIFUL!!! Tony at Tuscany Villa, was the BEST!!! Mike, Cody and Suzy ROCKED the camera and we are so very glad we chose them to be the photographers. SO different being on the other side of the camera. We could not be happier in the man that Ashton chose to marry! He is everything that we wanted her to fall in love with since she was a little girl. They make an AWESOME couple and we know they will have a long happy marriage. We wish them all the best and may the road they travel together lead them to happiness, laughter and more love for each other everyday. The happy couple are honeymooning in beautiful Jamaica at the Sandals Negril. Can we say JEALOUS??????????? UMMMMMMMM just a bit!

Now that the wedding is over……….hopefully we will have more time to get caught up on our blog and keep everyone posted on what is going on with us.

Perhaps ours would not be all tattered from being looked at and moved so much.
